The first Sprachcamp in 2003 under the leadership of the American youth pastor Mitch Bernay grew out of a partnership of the Lutheran Church of Oderwitz Bel Air Presbyterian Church Los Angeles. Since then it takes place every summer and in 2009 has found its new “home” at “Haus am See” in Mötzow an hour west of Berlin.  Since 2010 there is a monthly youth service in the style of Sprachcamp called „The Junction“ in Oderwitz. Our aim is to grow the relationships formed during camp and to help the youth of the region to go further in their faith and to there for their concerns and questions. In 2017 Sprachcamp and Junction were united under the title Alive youth ministry.
